In November 2008, a group of college students wanted to change the way media was perceived in Oklahoma forever. By understanding that we live in a culture that demonizes youth, where they are often portrayed in a negative light, we hope to show noteworthy individuals in a way that is often overlooked by the mainstream media. Far too long have major media conglomerates captivated the Oklahoma news cycle.

CurrentlyOK.com is about unveiling news in a way that’s relevant to Oklahoma’s future, where the only way to open the eyes of the future is to empower it.

Why the School Tags?
In every story we publish we focus on life as it is viewed from the eyes of students in Oklahoma, so it is no surprise that we recognize what Universities they go to. Recently we began putting School Tags on graduates, as well.
